I started the Knitter's Guild of New Hampshire out of a deep passion for fiber arts and a desire to create a welcoming community for crafters of all skill levels. Knitting and crafting have always been more than just hobbies for me; they are a source of joy, creativity, and connection. I noticed that many local knitters were looking for a space to share their experiences, learn new techniques, and collaborate with others who share their love for the craft.

I envisioned a guild where people could come together in a friendly environment, regardless of their experience level. It was important to me to foster an atmosphere of support and encouragement, where members can teach one another, exchange ideas, and grow together. By creating this guild, I aimed to provide resources, opportunities for workshops, and a sense of belonging for those who might feel isolated in their crafting journey.

Ultimately, I wanted to build a place where everyone's love for fiber arts could thrive, friendships could blossom, and creativity could flourish. The Knitter's Guild of New Hampshire is a testament to that vision—a space where our community comes together to learn, share, and grow.

I have always been a creator, enjoying many different art forms. But I credit pneumonia with
being the reason I first got into knitting. I was sick on the couch for a week or two in the summer
of 2025, and wanted something to do with my hands. Knitting was the answer. I picked up a pair
of needles and some yarn, and I’ve been knitting ever since.

I have always had an interest in fashion as well as historical clothing. I enjoy knitting different
kinds of sweaters and challenging myself, by learning new techniques and working with different
fibers with each project.

In my work with the guild, I aim to share my growing passion for knitting with others, and help
nurture a local community of fiber artists where we can support and encourage each other. I
also hope to encourage beginner knitters, much like myself, not to be intimidated by knitting. We
can all grow and learn together with support!
